A woman was looking to add pieces of printed material onto already made clothing as part of her brand. She had supplied the material which was 100% cotton from Africa.
The client supplied crop tops in sizes small, medium and large. They were all in rib knit material. For this project, the seamstress had cut out 2” wide strips on the bias of the fabric to have stretch. She then pressed it into a bias tape then top stitched it creating straps.
There were 2 straps per crop top both at 60” long on each side. They were sewn inside the seams at the bottom to have a wrap around look. The client also wanted to add a zipper pull with the material to show more print.
The customer was very satisfied with the finished look on each top. She had wanted more made.
