A women had inquired on having a custom two piece set made in her size. She purchased the material which was an off white medium weight rib knit. She also provided a sample of a crop top and bell bottom pants for sizing and style reference.

The seamstress created the pattern for both top and bottom. The top would feature 1.5” wide straps with a square neckline and serge finish at the bottom. The pants would be high waisted with a 1” elastic band, bell bottom silhouette with a regular hem finish at the bottom.

A sample for both top and bottom were made before starting the final matching set.   Once the pattern had been modified and adjusted, the rib knit material was ready to be cut and sewn together. The seamstress completed the top first and finished the neckline and armhole edges with a rib knit trim using the same material. Finally the pants were completed, and both top and bottom pieces were fitted on a dress form.

The client was contacted to be informed the matching set was ready. She was very pleased with the finished look and fit.
