A returning customer was looking to have another custom sample made. She had supplied the material which was a medium weight rib knit. She had specifically wanted a balloon sleeve cropped cardigan with front button up closure. The matching shorts would feature a drawstring at the waist to adjust the fit. The length would be halfway to the knee. She had also wanted pockets on each side of the shorts.
The seamstress started the pattern for the cardigan and then the shorts. Next, the material was cut from the patterns. Once all the pieces were sewn for the top, the final steps were to sew on the collar, cuffs, and bottom. After the button holes were made on the front placket, the 4 buttons provided were hand sewn.
Once the cardigan was completed, next was to complete the shorts. The seamstress had made the drawstring with the same material so it would be ready to insert inside the waist casing. Once the shorts were completed, the client was contacted.
She was once again very pleased with the matching set sample.
