A woman was looking to have her bay window cushion recovered with material she had purchased. The length of the cushion was over 10 ft long and about 2 inches thick. She provided a zipper for closure and this would be sewn on the curved side that would be facing the window.
The pattern was made by laying the foam on the material, folded and then traced, leaving seam allowance. The side pieces were then cut out. The pieces that would have the zipper were serged first then the zipper was installed. Next was sewing the side pieces to a larger face then sewing the other face. Once all the pieces were sewn together, the last step was serging all the seams.
The cushion cover was then completed and the foam was inserted. The client was very happy with how it turned out and pleased with the turn around time.
