A woman was looking to have someone design her a custom dress for an upcoming event. The dress was a very simple silhouette that only involved adding fur trim to the neckline and bottom of both sleeves. The client purchased the material and her measurements were taken during the consultation. The material was a black stretch knit and was requested to be made tight in the top area and go wide from her hips down to create the a-line shape.

She requested a shorter hem in the front and for the back to drag a bit on the floor to create a small train. After the pattern was completed, cut from the fabric and sewn, the dress was ready for the first fitting. A few adjustments were added to the sleeves, sides and the hem needed to be extended. Once the alterations were made the client came for a second fitting and was very satisfied.

All that was left to do was hand sew the fur trim. She wanted a double layer of fur for the neck and a single layer for the sleeves. The dress was finished and ready in the expected time resulting in a very happy and satisfied customer.
